Harvey Milton Brabbin
1946-2016

 

Services for Harvey Brabbin will be held on Saturday, December 17, 2016. The viewing is from 8:30 - 10:30 at San Andreas Memorial Chapel followed by a graveside service at the West Point Cemetery and a potluck at the Community Hall on Highway 26

 

Harvy Brabbin, born June 26, 1946 in Hayward California to Charles Brabbin & Caroline Brabbin-Wilson. He was the oldest son of his six siblings. Entered into rest on December 11, 2016 at his home in West Point California. He moved to Calaveras County as a child and remained until his passing. He attended Calaveras High School before joining the Army in February 1966. He proudly served as a Helicopter Mechanic in Germany. He was honorably discharged after earning a National Defense Service Medal. Harvey worked for over 40 years in the logging industry in many capacities, but mainly as a mechanic. His greatest joy was his love of Native American Heritage and riding his motorcycle, especially for the annual toy runs. He is survived by his sisters Ramona Ethel Valdez, Sharon Anne Mahoney and Wendy Gayle Valdez, his children Ramona Louise Brabbin, Harvey Milton Brabbin, Jr and Briana Lynn Creekmore. He had seven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Many nieces, nephews, and cousins. He was loved by all who knew him.
